West City Park

Yesterday we went to west city park to build a boat that can float. We had to build a boat out of the stuff we found on the way down there. We were going to tie a lot of sticks together to build a raft. Then we were going to tie a bow on the top to hold the washers, but then we found a peace of bark and we used that. It did good in testing, but when we put it in the water and added washers it didn't last long. The boat help four small washers and two big washers. We lost that by a long shot. Then we went out and played football in the field behind us. Then we ate lunch and came back to school.

Obama

Obama bothers me because he has Obama care with is a waist of money. Obama care is a waist of money because the inly way it works is if you don't. I think he has tried to make guns illegal at one time. He can't because it is in the constitution, so we have the right to carry guns. That is why no one likes Obama. The only reason he is still in office is because the vice president is stupid.

The City Museum

picture from here
I went to the city Museum with the school it was pretty fun. I had Brendan, Max, Michael, Clayton, and Nick in my group. When we got there we went to the ten story slide. After we were done with that we went to another slide. We got lunch after that and I had the same thing as Michael did a BBQ pulled pork sandwich it was really good. Then we went and played hide and go seek tag in the caves. I found a really good hiding stop, so I never got it. Then we went to the room and got on the bus.

Kid Nation 6

Kid Nation has a lot of Authority in the town. The new counsel members are not overpowering and are not just siting around like the old yellow team leader did. DK took charge and told everyone to stop messing around and stop. DK also had the idea That everyone should stop what they are doing and help fill up the water bucket. After he had that idea everyone in the town helped with the buckets and filled up the water tower together.

There is also rationalization in the town. The example of this is the old yellow team counsel member thinks that she doesn't have to do any work. The new counsel members told her that she has to hall water to the tub for the punishment. Every body at the showdown had a opinion on what to get and they got the fruit. The red team counsel member had the thought that if he talks to DK that he can get him to stay.

There is social exchange in the town. An example of this the snake lady thinks that she deserves the gold star because of her work. All she has been doing is cooking potatoes for her snake bar. She says that she has been cleaning toilets, doing lingerie, and doing dishes. That is all the social exchange in the town.

Kid Nation 7

There is deviance in the town. Taylor didn't work and just sat there. She thought that it was ok because she was a counsel and she didn't have to work. Then in the book said that they should have a a reelection for counsel members. So then When it came time to reelect she got voted out.

There is also primary deviance in the town. There is an example of this is when Jarred flipped out because he couldn't sell snakes. He went over to the other snack bar because she told he couldn't sell snack because she is already doing it. He flipped the table over and messed everything up. After he did that he had time to think about it and he went up to the girl and told her that he was sorry.

There is deviant in the town. The people that are deviant in the town like Taylor. Taylor doesn't work at all and just runs from it. Taylor is getting better over the past days because she is not counsel member. That is the examples of deviant in the town.

Kid Nation 5

There are many groups in Kid Nation. One of the groups are the teams like the yellow team. The red team is a good group that has no conflict. Then in the blue team they are combined of all the older kids. Then there is the green team is made up of all of the leaders and the middle kids.

Then there are conflicts in the town. Take the yellow team as an example the leader in that team is saying  deal with it and she is being lazy. The conflict in the blue team is that the leader is waking everyone up and the girls are not liking it. Then there is a conflict in the red team is that one person is wanting to be the leader because he wants to step it up.

There is social network in the town. Some of the people in the town are social network because of there religion. Some of the people in the town are catholic, Baptist, and Jewish. The town finally got the bibles for the town, so they can pray and go to church. That  is how the town has social network .

Kid Nation 4

In Kid Nation they have obligation. An example of this is the jobs they have to do like cooks. The cooks are mint to cook the food, do the dishes, and serve the food. There are upper-class and they don't have to do anything. That is only a few reasons that Kid Nation has obligation.

Everyone in Kid Nation has rights. The kids have rights like they have the right to work how ever they want. They have the right to win a gold star if they work hard enough. They also have the right to buy what they want when they want. Toughs are some examples of the right the people have in the town.

The people in the town have their own role. The yellow teams leader doesn't work she sits and doesn't do anything. Then Greg is sometimes is mean but is a really hard worker. The blue teams leader is a hard worker. That is the roles in Kid Nation.

What I Think About the Poorest Presedent in the World

What I think about it is that the president deserves more money than just $12,500. Also I think that he is a very polite and giving guy. That is how all presidents should be that they should not be greatly with there money and give some of it to charities every once and awhile and doesn't even have to be a lot. So I think that this man needs some more money to have for himself.

The Easter Weekend

Over the weekend was Easter and I always go to my grandma's house. When we are a my grandma's house we do the Easter egg hunt and we eat. After we eat we go to the park and fly kites and play kickball and other fun games. This time when we went home we played blitz and I almost won all the money. I came down to the final two and my mom beat me. After we played blitz we had a big ping pong game in the basement and I was on my mom' team. My mom and me made it all the way to the championship and lost.

Kid Nation 2

Their are a lot of people with a lot of different beliefs. For example one lady didn't want to the chicken, but the rest of the town wanted to kill the chickens for dinner. Another example is that the cooks weren't cooking a green teammate was and on person on the yellow team believed that they should be cooking. Greg believed that he deserved the gold star because he worked the hardest. That is some examples of the towns beliefs.

Their were some people that had their own values. For example, one person on the green team thought that it was stupid that they had to do all they dirty work and didn't get pad good enough. Another example is that is that yellow isn't doing there jobs they are just siting around and letting green do the job. In the same way one teammate on the green team thought that the bike was cool but she didn't have enough money for it so she dance to get money. Toughs are some of the many values that the town has.

The consul had so norms in affect. For example, the town hast to do their jobs. Another example is that the teams had to help each other out to do their jobs. The final example is that the consul had to set a curfew on haw long the town can stay up and they set it for 9:30. That is most of the norms and laws in the laws for the town.

My Weekend

Over the weekend I had a baseball tenement. My team didn't do so good we lost all of are games, But I had fun playing Sunday because are games got rained out Friday and Saturday. I had a few hit I had a single down the first base line, I had a double in right sinter, and I had a single to right field. I also struck out  once, grounded out to the third baseman, and I flied out to the right fielder. That was what I did over the weekend.

Kid Nation 1

Kid Nation is a show that 40 kids are put out in the middle of no were and are mint to last 40 days. The fist few days were crazy they class conflict. The people that were in control could not get everyone in control  to get organized and do what they are mint to do like there jobs. They also had a lot of class conflict with the older and younger kids. later on they finally got organized and made 4 groups of different colors like red, blue, green, and yellow to jobs to make money to buy all different kinds of drinks and stuff.

They needed power to control the people to get organized. For example, they need to control the 40 kids to get in there groups. They need power to run the stores. So the town needed a lot power to get control and to run the town right. That is why they need power to make the town run right.

Capitalists, the people running the stores, made a lot of money as soon as they opened. For example they got 3 dollars for a bike and the sodas cost 15 cents. They got like over a dollars worth in soda alone. They are making money on the store so they can buy other stuff. that is why the town has capitalists.

Dear Mrs. DeBolt,

Hi I am Austin Meyer and I am in your 2nd hour class. Things I like to do in my free time is play baseball and basketball. I also like to go hunting. I hunt turkey and deer. We like to make are deer into steak and jerky.

Now I am going to tell you why I like baseball I like baseball because it is awesome when you make a good play or get a good hit. I also like it because you have to have good hand eye coordination. I have very good hand and eye coordination because I never really strike out that is why I bat first in the line up. That is why I like baseball so much.

Things I learned in this class is how to type faster. I like to type now I didn't like it at first. I now know how to take backgrounds off of pictures I get off of the Internet. I hope to use all of the skills I learned in the future.

                                                                                                              sincerely,
                                                                                                              Austin Meyer

Do Video Games Make Kids Violint

picture from here

I think that video can make some people violent because it all depends on want games the person plays and also it depends on what kind of mood they on in . For example if you have a guy that is not having a good day and they are playing a shooting game then it might make them more likely to be violent. I play video games and I am in not that violent.
