Dawson

Coach Dawson's grandson recently passed away last night. He was only 2 years old. All the volleyball players have a Dawson shirt we like to wear to support him. Today we wore our shirts just because we felt like it and not because we were supposed too. He died of cancer. He was at the dance- he looked so sick. I felt so bad for him. But now he's in a happier place now, where he's not in pain. It was sad when i found out and for others too. I bet coach Dawson is really sad and I'm so sorry fir her. I know it meant a lot to her about her grandson and she always stuck up for him. She went to everything Dawson went to because that's how much he cared for him. Everyone cried even though they didn't know him they still cared for him. That's important. I hope he liked life a little, even though he only knew pain. I'm so sorry little man. We won that game for you. :( Stay Strong Coach Dawson!

What I Learned In Technology

This quarter i had Technology. It was fun because we got to make our own desktop background. With whatever on it, that was fun. The word lessons, some were easy and some were hard but I managed to get through them. We also have Timed Typing Tests every other day. In the begining of the quarter and from now theres a big difference in my typing abilty. We also got to play games sometimes. After we were finished with whatever was assigned that day we got to play games on Mrs. Debolts page. There was a game everyone loved to play. It was Red Remover. I learned a lot in this Technology class then any other computer class i've had in the past. Its also really fun if you know how to do powerpoint projects in class because we do some of those too. We have Missouri Connections which is a carrer thing in Technology which Mrs. Mickley teachs.

Should P.E. be mandatory??

I think P.E. should be mandatory because if we didnt exercise we wouldn't be in good shape. We would all just not care about it and your supposed to have fun in P.E. sometimes too. They have games like dodgeball and racing againest other people. Sometimes your on your own team but thats ok. Exercising is not always fun but it makes you healthier and better. It may even help you at school. Helps you learn not everything is a peice of cake. Like running the mile, its hard but once you do it for a long time you'll get used to it and you'll be able to do it faster and you could beat other people that maybe you haven't beat before. P.E. is something everybody should take. When the weather's nice we go outside and run, get some fresh air during school when your stuck inside all day. P.E. should be mandatory.

Volleyball

Volleyball is a fun sport. I made the volleyteam this year. Its a lot of fun! So far we've only lost 1 game againest Perryville. There good. Anyways everyday we have a game we have to dress up, sometimes we only have to wear our warm-up shirts and jeans. We ride a bus to the away games and back. Everytime we play 8th grade plays after us and we have to watch them play and cheer them on like they do us. I'm a backrow player. That means I bump the ball and sometimes get the spiked balls from over the net. There are 14 girls on my team. My coach tries to switch up the rotation. Tonite we play Sunrise. Its an away game so we have to ride the bus there. Its fun being in volleyball because i love the sport a lot. Its so fun when your at games and whenever the score is really close like 24 to 23 because that's when everyone cheers and gets loud for your team. We won 4th place at the last tournament. We did pretty good.

Hundred Dollars

If i had $100 i would give that money to Childrens Hospital. I would give it to them because some children just sit their in beds all day with nothing to do. With that $100 it would buy them books, stuffed animals. Things like that. Their probably really sad sitting their all day, sick or maybe they have a diesese and they cant get over it. So i would help them out to make their lives a little bit better. The children's hospital has a lot of kids im sure, but i know that the $100 wouldnt give something to every kid in that hospital. So maybe if everyone doanated at least $20 dollars to Childrens Hospital then it would be enough for every kid in that hospital. I feel bad for the kids in their because their supposed to be playing outside maybe even at school. But they have to sit in a bed all day because their sick.

Halloween

Halloween comes every October 31st. Almost everybody dresses up however they want to. This year i might be a purple or pink crayon or a m&m. You walk up tand down your neighborhood, going to people's doors and you say,"Trick-or-treat" and that person will give you candy. You can trick-or-treat with your friends,neighbors,or family. I usually go with friends because it's more fun that way because you laugh a lot and their not like your family because their different. Every halloween I get a bunch of candy and i usually don't finish it all 'till next year! This year im going to my friend Chloe's house and were going to get a BUNCH of candy. Some houses and familys go really far with their decorations and set up scary music and scary skeletons and ghosts and stuff like that. My mom doesn't do that but i wish we did because it looks so cool and it gets people's attention. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.

Helping Each Other

 I remember when i was in 1st grade, and i saw this girl playing on the slides and like jumping off of them from high distances. So whenever she jumped for the 4th time or so she fell and completly scabbed her whole leg and she was bleeding really badly. So i ran over to help her so that she would get to the nurse's office quickly. I ran up to the teacher and told her and the teacher and I walked her to the nurse's office. I felt really good about it because I know I did the right thing when she came out of the nurse's office because she said thank you to me. I felt like I told the teacher at the right time.

Rachels Challenge

Yesterday we when to an assembley in the high school gym. The assembley was about a school with 2 kids that had guns and they were shooting people. They shot 12 students andn 1 teacher. It was sad because the first girl shot was a girl named Rachel Joy Scott. It was April 20, 1999, and that day she drew in her diary, a pair of eyes crying on a rose. Then the tears turned into blood. Her father counted the blood drops and he counted 13. The number of poeple who died at that school. It was a sad story to hear. Also this whole time Rachel knew she was going to die young. She even wrote that in her diary. She knew that she wasnt going to live long and she knew she was gonna die in the year 1999. It was a touching story about Rachel. I feel bad for her parents and for her friends that knew her. All Rachel wanted was kindess. She wanted to touch the world and she did. Rachel touched a lot of hearts around the world.

9/11

  There was a terriost attack upon New York City's twin towers. A first plane flew into 1 of the twin towers and everyone thought it was an accident until there was another plane that flew into the second twin tower and exploded the building and then evrybody knew that it was not an accident anymore. There was about 50,000 people working in the twin towers that day, and the terriost attack was in the morning so everyone was so confused because some people just woke up. Almost everyone heard the explosion and hurried to there windows and doors. Almost everybody in america was looking at the news reports on the TV, and everyone around america was scared. The two planes that flew into both twin towers were hijacked and they pretended to be a pilot, so people stopped airplanes from flying when the second plane hit. Then after a couple of minutes the second tower fell down with people still in it.

This class has been very fun and has helped me type faster than what I used to. I thought that the assignments that you gave to us were fun but they were hard to get finished with them all. With all of the assignments I have gotten so much better with my typing. My suggestion would be too give us more time to finish the projects. Over all you are the best teacher I had. I hope you have a great summer.

This has been the most awsome month ever!! In just one day I will be in Six Flags performing in our concert. Then, next week I get to go to the City Museum and the Zoo. When we go to Six Flags we miss the whole day of school. Yesterday I got a letter from my best friend who moved, her name is Emily Cothern and we might get to see each other this summer. I can't wait for summer and I wish it would never end. I get to go on a vacation to somewhere and it's supposed to be fun. We have 10 days of school left.

Working Hard

I think that working hard is the most important because if you work hard at something for a long time you will be better in that subject. If you are not very smart in that subject but you are working hard and giving all your effort to passing then you will still pass. One time when I was in class and I was working on this assignment and I was trying to get an A in math so I worked hard and got it on my report card.

May Field Trips

This will be the best May ever because I have three field trips this month. The first one is to Six Flags, then the second one is to either the Zoo or the City Museum. I have never been to the City Museum, but my friends told me it is the best place to go. The concert will be on the thirteenth and I hope we will get a cool trophy for what we did. We only have sixteen or fifteen days of school left until summer!!!

Accidents happen

One day my friend wanted to come over to my house, but i didnt want him to so I  meant to send it to my mom but I sent to my friend. I was so mad, but I fixed it by saying I wanted to ride bikes today and I didnt have enough bike for him.

I have never sent a text or email that has been hurtful,but sometimes the people I talk to take something the wrong way. I have herd people say that they have sent a text and the person that they talked to was mad because they thought they said something else than what they really said. I have might have said something mean in the past,but I did say sorry about what I said and then we were best friends again.

My cozen Amanda might be staying at my house this summer until she is eight teen. My brother has started tag football game and he seams to be having fun with that. My favorite storm is thunderstorms with lots of lightning. It is very entertaining for me to go outside and watch the lightning. I can't wait till summer to go swimming in the warm sun.

How I find out what the weather is today is that I go on the news channel and find out there,or I go on the Internet and get the information there. The information about the weather has to be accurate because if there is a tornado coming at you today and the weatherman says it will be tomorrow then it will be hard too get things done when they said something else. Since the weather came my best friend couldn't come over, and the back yard of her house was completely flooded. 



African-American Educator



When he said "If  you want to lift yourself up, then lift up someone else means that if you make yourself happy for what you do then make someone else happy to make them fell happy too. Like if you had friends and they were sad or something you should make them feel happy to make you feel happy. When you make someone happy it makes everyone feel good, so you should make everyone feel great. So that's what that meaning means.

I have one brother named Timmy. Yesterday my dad,Tom, had put up my basketball hoop when my friend,Amanda, came over. My favorite sports are soccer, and basketball. My brother is nine years old and his birthday is December 19th,2001. I have a female dog named Peanut. She is ten years old and doesn't like other dogs at all. Yesterday a dog came to my backyard and my dog went crazy because the dog was outside. I had a concert for Select Choir, and we own 1st place. I can't wait for the Spring concert that is coming up tomorrow. It will be so much fun with all my friends there. My favorite subject in school is art because I love to be creative. I am excited for next year when I am finally an 8th grader. There is a talent show coming up, but I don't know if I should do it because I can barely stand up in front of the class to talk about my project.
